Tuesday Tunes
I’m setting myself up for failure here but I’m going to try to do a post about music on Tuesday’s and I’m calling it Tuesday Tunes. So here goes…

I’ve been listening to a lot of Nada Surf’s new album Lucky. It’s very good. I’ve listened to their album Let Go quite a bit, it was very good. Didn’t listen to their last one, This Weight is a Gift, much but Lucky is very good. If the only thing you know of Nada Surf is their 1996 hit “Popular”, you should definitely check out their newest album. Start with “See These Bones” on their MySpace page.
New single Salute Your Solution from the Raconteurs new album Consolers of the Lonely, check out the video:
La Blogotheque has a great video of Yeasayer performing 2080:
Mark Kozelek, previously of the Red House Painters, has a solo album coming out April 1 and an album with his band Sun Kil Moon. I hope to get a hold of both of these a spend some quality time with them.
R.E.M. has a new album called Accelerate. I’ve always been a big R.E.M. fan but haven’t listened to their last couple albums very much. You can stream the Accelerate for free at iLike.com. I listened to it today and it’s pretty good. I think “Hollow Man” was probably my favorite song on the first go around.
And last but definitely not least, Death Cab For Cutie released the first single from their upcoming album Narrow Stairs. It’s called “I Will Possess Your Heart” and is a wonderful 8:35 long. Check it out.
