House Update

Here’s a quick update on the house. We got the keys on Monday and so far have ripped out some carpet and last night the in-laws came over and help us scrape the popcorn off the ceilings. That revealed a little bit of patchwork that needs to be done but generally, the ceilings are in pretty good shape. Hopefully I can get the patchwork done and and get the ceilings painted in the next few days so we can have use of the 3 bedrooms. The largest bedroom is the master which we’ll be using (obviously). The larges of the other two bedrooms will be our office/workout room (i.e. desk an treadmill). Then the smallest bedrooms will be the baby’s room.

I suppose if you’re not my facebook friend and I don’t talk to you very much you probably haven’t heard that my wife is pregnant. We found this out last week and we are very excited as we have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time. This past week has been full of exciting things for us: we bought a house, we’re having a baby and I finished college. The past couple years have been hard for Jenae and I but we are thankful for them as we have learned a lot and have been able to find joy in places where we wouldn’t have expected. We look forward to this next stage in life where I won’t be going to class in the evenings and where we can have friends and family over to our home and where our family will be multiplying by 1.5 (2 x 1.5 = 3).
