Lief Erickson

This is a statue of Lief Erickson, the Norwegian/Icelandic explorer. Ballard, my neighborhood in Seattle, has a strong Norwegian roots and is home to the 17th May Celebration Parade, celebrating the signing of Norway’s constitution. The statue is located here.
