Lost in a cloud, a voice

My blog posts these days have been few and far between. I apologize to anyone who has expected more from me and to anyone who owns BlogShares in the company.

Things have been fairly busy lately as always. My differential equations class has been very difficult. I have 6 weeks to go until I am finished at Shoreline Community. Next year is still a mystery to me. This past week I was informed by Seattle University that they would allow me to attend their school. Some people call it being accepted I suppose. I’m still waiting to hear back from UW. I applied to every single school in Seattle that has a civil engineering program and I’ve now been accepted by half of them, I might not hear back from the other one until June or July. So it may be until then that I make a decision.

Lately I have been getting frustrated with web-based email platform used for my theparadox.org email address. I’m in charge of volunteers for The Paradox so I send and receive a lot of email regarding scheduling and the sort. We use something called SquirrelMail and it is absolutely terrible. There basically no way to organize e your email and I can’t use it in outlook so I’ve got about 50 emails in my inbox and I’m trying to figure who I have and haven’t written back. No fun at all. I would not recommend it.

I’m at my new favorite coffeehouse, Verite Coffee; a very cool place.

If you live in Seattle, you should check it out. But let me know first, I’ll meet you there.

U2 plays in Seattle this weekend. Sadly, unless a miracle happens, I will not be attending. Believe or not at one time I had 4 tickets to the show. But unfortunately those tickets created a $700 hole in my checking account the just couldn’t be left empty. So, to my 2 friends who are attending the concert, enjoy.

I will leave with some lyrics in one of my favorite Sufjan Stevens songs, Transfiguration:

Lost in the cloud, a voice. Have no fear! We draw near!
Lost in the cloud, a sign. Son of man! Turn your ear.
Lost in the cloud, a voice. Lamb of God! We draw near!
Lost in the cloud, a sign. Son of man! Son of God!

Cheers
Dustin
